Benign self-limiting disease occurring usually in Term/ late preterm neonates

Tachypnea (most common) with minimal or no Respiratory distress

Because of poor clearance of fluid from the lungs

Judicious use of IV fluids

Clinical diagnosis, x-ray chest (hyperinflated lungs, prominent vascular markings and prominent interlobar fessiure)

  • Oxygen support
  • CPAP support
  • Supportive management
